Picking the right kit

The rifle dates the figure. A 98k and an MP40 are not interchangeable at minifigure scale once someone looks closely, and the same war fought in two theatres used different weapons. Build both sides. One army on a shelf is a shelf. Two armies facing each other is a scene, which is why the Allied and Axis sets exist. The mistakes that show up most often are in WWII diorama historical accuracy mistakes.
