Baseplates and flat plates by the pack, compatible with major brick brands. Every plate here is sold in a multi-pack rather than as a single large sheet, which is what makes it practical to build a base to the exact footprint you need and to buy spares in the colors you actually use.
What is in this collection
8-wide baseplates. 8x8 in packs of 10 and 8x16 in packs of 5, in 8 colors including dark green, grey, brown and beige. At the standard 8mm stud pitch an 8x8 plate measures 6.4cm square and an 8x16 measures 6.4cm by 12.8cm.
Flat plates and pieces, 1x1 to 8x16. 19 stud sizes in 15 colors. Small sizes come in volume (250-piece packs of 1x1 through 1x4), larger plates in smaller counts (20 of a 4x8, 10 of a 6x12, 5 of an 8x16). This is the part of the catalog that gets used in every build.
How to build a base out of packs
Do the stud math first. A 16x16 footprint is four 8x8 plates. A 32x32 footprint is eight 8x16 plates. A 16x32 footprint is four 8x16. Count the footprint in studs, divide by the plate, and order one pack extra.
Lock the seams. Tiled plates are not one rigid sheet, so bridge the joins with a layer of 1x4 and 2x4 bricks on top, staggered across each seam like brickwork. Done that way a tiled base is stiffer than a single thin sheet and it will not bow when you lift it.
Buy the batch together. Color can drift between production runs. A base built from two different greens looks like two different greens, so order the whole footprint in one go.
Pick the color for the scene, not the plate. Dark green for grass and fields, grey for roads and castle floors, beige and brown for desert and interiors, blue for water, black for night scenes and display bases.
Baseplate FAQs
Are these compatible with major brick brands? Yes. Standard stud pitch and tube spacing, so they interlock with the plates and bricks you already own.
Do you sell one large single-sheet baseplate? Not at the moment. The large single sheets are not in stock, which is why the packs above are the route to a big base. Tiling is also easier to ship, cheaper to replace when one section gets damaged, and lets you extend a layout later instead of starting again.
How many plates do I need? A small vignette sits on a 16x16 footprint, four 8x8 plates. A building or street scene wants 32x32, eight 8x16. A full diorama runs 48x48 or larger, which is eighteen 8x16.
What goes on top? Bricks for walls and structure, plates for terrain and flooring. Our guide to buying bulk bricks for MOCs gives the ratios by build type.
Stock up on bulk bricks to build on top, and see the MOC and diorama guides hub for layout and terrain technique. Suitable for young builders learning to build from a flat start and adult builders working at scale.
