To seal a custom minifigure, apply a thin coat of matte acrylic varnish over the paint and decals once they're fully dry. A matte (flat) finish protects your work from rubbing off during handling without adding an unnatural shine. Spray sealers give the most even coat; brush-on works for spot sealing.
Apply in light layers rather than one heavy coat, and let each dry fully. Avoid sealing over wet paint or in humid conditions, which can cause clouding.
