Combat Medic Minifigures: Field Hospital Scene Ideas

Scene ideas for combat medic minifigures: field hospitals, casualty collection points and evacuation scenes, with layouts and props.

Medic scenes add something combat scenes cannot: a human story. A single figure kneeling beside another says more than a dozen riflemen standing in a line. This guide gives you scene ideas, layouts and props for building around a combat medic, using parts we actually sell.

The short answer

Start small. A medic, a casualty and a stretcher make a complete scene, and the stretcher is $3.99. Build outward from there: a tent, a vehicle, a few guards. The medic is the centre of the scene, so place everything else to point toward them.

The medic figures and props we sell

Stock changes, so check each page for availability. For general soldiers and guards, the Modern Military set ($24.99) fits modern scenes, and our loadout cheat sheet covers the medic role in more detail.

Scene idea 1: the casualty

One medic kneeling beside one figure lying down. Add the stretcher beside them and one guard standing nearby. Small and quick, it works as a standalone display or a detail inside a bigger diorama. Cost with a single medic and a stretcher: $9.98 before the casualty and guard.

Scene idea 2: the collection point

A sheltered spot behind cover where casualties are gathered. Use a low wall or sandbags on one side, two or three figures lying or sitting, one medic moving between them, and a guard facing outward. Mark it with a medical cross tile. Cover matters here, because the scene needs to look protected. See how to build a realistic battlefield diorama base for the ground and cover.

Scene idea 3: the field hospital tent

A simple tent shape built from slopes or panels, open on one side, with a cross tile on the front. Inside: two or three beds made from flat plates, a medic at one, a figure waiting at another. Outside: a stack of crates and one guard. The Medical Field Hospital set gives you the team to fill it. Keep the interior visible so the scene reads from the front.

Scene idea 4: evacuation

Two figures carrying a stretcher toward a vehicle or aircraft. Pair with a vehicle from vehicles or an aircraft from aircraft. The Airborne set ($29.99) includes pilot figures and a drone, which works well for an evacuation or overwatch scene.

Props that make the scene

  • Stretcher. $3.99 and the single most useful prop.
  • Medical cross tile. Marks the scene as medical from across a room.
  • Crates. Stacked near the tent for supplies.
  • Sandbags or walls. Cover on the exposed side.
  • Lighting. A single lamp or light brick inside the tent if you want a night scene.

Common mistakes

  • Medic with a heavy weapon. It muddles the role.
  • No cover. A collection point in the open looks careless.
  • Too many casualties. Two or three tell the story. Ten look like a stack.
  • No guard. Someone has to watch the perimeter.

Where to start

Buy a medic and a stretcher, and build scene idea 1. Then add one element at a time. Browse military for figures, single minifigures for individual medics and minifig accessories for props, and read how to build a military diorama for composition.
